hela Sverige At the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Nutrition, research in several different areas are conducted, such as endocrinology, hematology, gastroenterology, hypertension, pulmonary medicine and allergology and clinical nutrition. Research is focused on body composition and energy metabolism. Research is conducted in close cooperation with health care at both the Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Mölndal hospital.
The clinical research school CORS arranges courses and meetings for CORS members. CORS is funded by the Swedish Research Council and its activities commenced in 2012. The research at the geriatric medicine unit is mainly patient-focused and encompasses clinical osteoporosis research, with specific focus on identifying new diagnosis methods for bone fragility and increased fracture risk.
Job assignments
The researcher tasks: The researcher is responsible for arranging international scientific meetings, and to propose relevant topics, invite and communicate with lecturers and attend at arranged meetings as chairman and organizers. The researcher will also communicate with CORS members via the CORS webpage and will therefore work in the info-glue web page software. The position is situated at the geriatric medicine unit at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Mölndal. The researcher will perform the largest part of the work developing novel measuring techniques based on the High Resolution peripheral Quantitative Computed Tomography (HRpQCT) technique.
Qualifications
The researcher must have a doctoral degree within clinical patient focused osteoporosis research and have documented experience as researcher at the doctoral level. High level of theoretical and practical knowledge in info-glue is required. In the recruitment, a balanced sex distribution among CORS staff will be aimed for. Exceptional skills in high resolution computed tomography techniques for measuring patients (HRpQCT) is required.
