The Volkswagen Truck & Bus GmbH (VW T&B) bundles the three medium- and heavy duty commercial vehicle brands of Volkswagen AG - MAN, Scania and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus- in order to boost collaboration between the brands, accelerate processes and sharpen the focus on the commercial vehicle business. The VW T&B holding company's long term goal is to become Global Champion with a leading position regarding global presence, cost efficiency and technological innovation for our customers.

Volkswagen Truck & Bus has the following job opening in Södertälje in the Research & Development department starting at the earliest possible date.

Your tasks:

Develop insights on disruptive innovations in the next 5-20 years including trucks, buses, transportation and mobility, technology, business models and solutions
Participate in think-tanks and research forums
Build a network in Europe, China and US of global innovation leaders and potential partners from technology firms, customers, end users and start-ups
Provide insights and trigger discussions across brands (create pull) including both industry and equipment level (i.e.: technology scenarios for 2030)
Running pilot projects for all brands

Your profile:

Credibility
Experience from leading transport innovation entities within areas such as technology,new business models, customers and car companies
Capability to build a network with business leaders, innovation and technology leaders and research forums in order to network for future transportation solutions
Ability to build trust and respect within the organizations and research
Senior leadership experience
Independent thinking and always keeping the big picture in mind
Collaborative and inspiring skills for coordination of the research resources within the VW T&B group across all the brands
