Your workplace
Dynamics, a business area of Saab, offers ground combat weapons, missile systems, torpedoes, sensor systems, unmanned underwater vehicles and signature management systems for armed forces as well as remotely operated vehicles and security systems for the offshore industry and nuclear power plants.
The System Engineering department
in Karlskoga consist of approximately 50 employees, divided into three sections. We are involved during the entire development chain, from conceptual studies and product development to product care and after sales activities. Our work is highly integrated with the work in other parts of the company throughout the product lifecycle.
The section ILS and System Safety consist of 18 employees. We are responsible for the implementation of ILS and System Safety for our products. This work includes Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) analysis, Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), development of technical documentation, training, after-sales support and system safety and environmental analysis among other things.
Your role
As a reliability engineer at our section your main task will be to identify and model requirements and to conduct analysis in terms om reliability, maintainability and supportability. This includes reliability and maintainability predictions, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA). We use a number of applications in our work e.g. DOORS, RELEX and LSARTools (MS Access). You will also take responsibility for our processes / best practice and make suggestions for improvements when needed.
This work is conducted in projects and you will be working closely with other disciplines at the company.
Your qualifications
It is important thet you can take initative and that you have the ability to work in teams and make good relations. You have Master/Bachelor of Engineering with a reliability background. You should have previous experience of similar work. You find it easy to express yourself in Swedish and English, both written and oral.
Experience of 217Plus: Riace's Reliability Prediction Methodology, LSA's work accordning to Defence STandard 00-600 and good knowledge of MS Excel and/or MS Access is an advantage.
