WHAT YOU WILL DO

As Regulatory Manager you will support the organization to secure sustainable business growth of the Oatly brand by ensuring regulatory compliant Oatly products and its activities on all EMEA markets.

You will lead EMEA Regulatory activities and the team, consisting of 7 experienced and highly professional specialists, that are responsible of:

• contributing to and implementing global processes, methods and tools required to secure that Oatly can source, develop, produce and sell regulatory compliant food products.
• having processes, methods and tools in place to perform efficient recall and withdrawal if necessary.
• leading the surveillance on EMEA to keep the organisation up to date with current and new applicable legislation and standards. The areas of specific interest are food safety, product recipe design, manufacturing, and information to consumers.
• supporting new market entries, including contacts with authorities and certifying organs.
• supporting new product development and product lifecycle projects, including secure legislation, leading approvals, and notifications.
• contributing with the regulatory view into our purpose to make it easy for people to turn what they eat and drink into personal moments of healthy joy without recklessly taxing the planet's resources in the process

Travelling will occur. You will be reporting to our EMEA SHEQ Manager and the position is based in Malmö.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for someone that have a B.S./MSc in quality or food safety or equivalent and/or law school with food as master. You have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with legal & regulatory requirements in Food industry from EMEA markets and a minimum of 3 years as a manager with a proven track record of successfully leading teams. You are excellent at communicating, both verbally and written in English and Dutch and/or French and Spanish.

Other things that are important for this role:

• Very good knowledge in Production quality management and GSFI certifications as BRC or ISO 22000
• Knowledge in global/international nutrition
• Experience working with product management, artwork and labelling
• Experience of working with regulatory horizon scanning
• Experience of working with authorities
• Perform Quality and Food Safety risk assessments for new product launches.
• Communicate with local authorities and certification organs and lead certification audits for local market offices
• Knowledge in EMEA regulatory legislation and experience from interpreting and advising stakeholders.
• Knowledge and experience in using ERP system
• Experience from working in a international, cross functional company
