This full-time position based in Stockholm is a regional role, responsible for developing the long term legacy strategy, together with the Fundraising Management, as well as implementation of the strategy across the region (Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway). The role is also responsible for expanding the Middle Donor programme and subsequent donor event management related to legacy and middle donor engagement.
The Legacy Fundraiser is responsible for growing and maximising legacy income by ensuring donors are aware of, inspired by and engaged in the idea of Legacy giving. The role's responsibilities also include:
Proactive marketing and acquisition activities
Prospecting and developing donors within the legacy pipeline
Delivering high-quality donor care and tailored stewardship
Managing inheritance distributions and estate inventories
Ensuring effective administration of legacies
Liaising with solicitors and families to ensure the value of bequests is maximised
In this role, you'll be the central point for Legacy Giving, working closely with fundraising colleagues across the Nordic region to coordinate and support the local implementation of our legacy strategy. This role is supported by both Donor Care fundraisers and Fundraising Management, who will play an active role in delivering key activities locally.
Qualifications (Knowledge and skills needed in this position)
At least 3 years experience in working with Legacy giving
Experience in managing high volume fundraising or direct mail programs
Preferably experience in working with Middle/Major Gifts Fundraising
Fundraising or sales copywriting experience
Knowledge of Data Analysis and Segmentation
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or other associated field and /or equivalent work experience
Exemplary organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage projects, track information, work to a timeline and achieve targeted goals.
Good communication skills across different channels and departments, including strong listening and negotiation skills
Good understanding of the local legislation and regulations surrounding legacy giving
Capacity to prepare and present fundraising strategy and reports
Fluent in Swedish, excellent English, other Nordic languages is an advantage
Passion for the environment and a strong commitment to the aims and values of Greenpeace
