hela Sverige This role is responsible for the overall finance function of the Central Region within Continental Europe.This is a hands on role, focused on financial accounting and reporting based upon a solid approach to risk management and a sound internal control environment. Furthermore, it is expected that detailed performance analysis and the provision of forward looking insights will directly assist in commercial development opportunities, all aligned to the business objectives.The development of strong working relationships with, amongst others, the local/regional business leaders, VP Operations, VP Finance for Continental Europe, Finance Shared Service functions and the Group Head Office finance team is critical.Main accountabilities includeProviding leadership and expertise to the VP Region, VP Finance & Station Finance Managers and respective finance teams on all financial and commercial matters to ensure robust financial control and planning.Accountable for the integrity, consistency and completeness of the P&L, Balance sheet and Cashflow within the Region and thus responsible for managing and driving.the integrity of revenue recognition, labour and payroll as well as operating cost control;the accounting and closing process, including submissions into Group reporting systems (eg Hyperion) and timely balance sheet reconciliations, in adherence to strict published deadlines;full compliance to defined control framework, Group policies and relevant accounting standards and;the direct & indirect tax compliance of their respective legal entities.Providing expertise on all accounting issues and is able to leverage the accounting network within the Group.Review and interpret performance for trends and variations (including KPIs) delivering meaningful, accurate and timely reporting & analysis to translate these in to actionable plans for communication to management and other commercial managers.Drive the planning processes within the Region for the production of the Budget, the periodic Forecasts and weekly Flash reports.Being actively involved in business development and identify new business streams including pricing models, acquisitions, other investment proposals, including review of capital investment programmes.Effective management of DSO position, in close cooperation with the credit and collection team.Taking ownership for the integrity of financial results and business ethics.ensuring robust financial controls and processes are in place and aligned to corporate governance.managing an effective internal & external financial audit process & relationshiprisk management. Qualifications and experienceQualified accountant (for example RA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong post-qualification experience in progressively to more senior positions.Hands-on practical approach to providing guidance and direction in a challenging and dynamic business environment.Self-motivated, disciplined and flexible attitude to work.Strong analytical skills with proven ability to identify, address and communicate issues and correction actions successfully at all levels.Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the region.Experience of managing and adapting to the challenges of different cultures and legislation.Knowledge of SUN, Hyperion and Vision Excel is preferred.Experienced user of Excel is a must.
