Position Description
Sales Region EMEA is responsible for the distribution of Volvo Construction Equipment throughout Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.
We now need to strengthen our Sales Support organisation with an industry professional with experience of the technical and commercial aspects of quarrying and aggregate extraction. This is a newly created position within a team of specialists. The successful candidate will therefore have great scope in developing the role. Whilst having a background in quarrying we expect that over time the successful candidate will also go on to apply his knowledge and experience to support customers in other industries such as construction and civil engineering.
This position reports to the Site Efficiency Services manager and will be based in Eskilstuna, Sweden. It is a position with no direct reports. The job itself will involve approximately 60 - 100 days international travel per year.
The main duties include:
• Supporting Volvo dealers and customers with quarry efficiency knowledge and training
• Performing production studies, jobsite evaluations and advising on machine selection, working methods, improving productivity and site efficiency
• Developing methods for the analysis of machine, service and site data for the purposes of providing improved quarry efficiency
• Developing methods to enable Volvo dealers to use total cost of ownership principles in their commercial offers

Desired competencies, personal skills and experience:
• 5 - 10 years technical and commercial experience from the quarrying and aggregates industry
• Good understanding of the principles of the total cost of ownership for machines and equipment
• Ability to work with a variety of computer programs and telematic services
• Ability to motivate people to create change and improvements
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
• University degree in a relevant discipline
