hela Sverige Main Duties and Responsibilities
To lead a team within the QC laboratories, providing product testing support to the Sweden Biologics fill/finish facility and external Astra Zeneca network. To ensure via planning, delegation and resource management the timely, effective and compliant output of the laboratories to meet customer (schedule adherence) and regulatory requirements (license to operate). Provides scientific and operational oversight. Accountable for delivery of all activities within their area.
Development of a capable, motivated, informed and efficient workforce through coaching, development and training and other initiatives, including supporting on-site training needs. Employee engagement, communication performance management ensuring that all staff have development plans.
Take ownership and be responsible for all actions to deliver high performance in the role and to ensure commitments made by the organisation and to colleagues are always delivered. Drive department performance, change and improvement to meet current and future operational goals.
Oversight of Quality Record performance in their area and approval of significant investigations. To support expert review of test methods, equipment specifications and subjects as required meeting the relevant regulatory and legislation requirements. The provision of resource and technical support to assist in method development/technical transfer and to actively encourage continuous improvement in working practices and procedures. Ensures the compliance of all laboratory procedures and personnel within Health & Safety Guidelines.
To work with the Site Leadership Team (SLT) to develop strategic implementation plans with a 1 year horizon to support the Long Range Operating Plan (LROP). Provide management leadership to peers at site and drive tactical delivery at an operational level.
To monitor the laboratory systems through Performance Metrics. Leads and manages LEAN processes and consistently seeks opportunities for continuous improvement in alignment with new technologies. Manages and controls departmental budget efficiently and effectively. Participate in inter-departmental & cross site business meetings to deliver the business. Identifies and manages key stakeholders through the provision of regular and timely communications.
Oversees the Introduction of new technology/systems into the QC function ensuring that the QC function remains contemporary and competitive.
Leads by example and acts as a Role Model for the function championing initiatives
Essential Requirements
• Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a scientific discipline with experience of Biochemical and or immunological testing
• Project management and influencing skills
• Situational leadership and coaching skills
• Fluent in both Swedish and English
Desirable Requirements
• Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment/Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
• Extensive people management experience in a scientific environment
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Previous Biopharmaceutical Industry experience

Provide scientific and operational oversight. Accountable for delivery of all activities within their area. You will report directly to the Quallity Control Director.
We are looking for you that are qualified to degree level or equivalent in a scientific discipline with experience of Biochemical and or immunological testing.
