Are you well-organised and structured with great experience from purchasing processes in large companies? BMW Group Northern Europe is now recruiting a Purchasing Manager. The position will be responsible for purchasing in the Nordic markets including the Baltic. This is an essential roll in one of the worlds most successful corporate groups within the automotive industry.

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing local purchasing strategies derived from global guidelines, utilizing state of the art practices and knowledge of specific supply markets to achieve greatest value contribution and benefit realization assuring quality, total cost of ownership and service.
The Purchasing Manager is responsible of a team with two employees. The Purchasing Manager will be working in close collaboration with the General Managers and Managing Directors within each market. The position reports to CFO BMW Group Northern Europe.
The Purchasing Manager will have the responsibility for:
• the purchasing strategy in cooperation with the organizational and the functional responsibilities
• preparing and submiting tender documentation to purchasing team at HQ for approval.
• the purchasing processes, the respective interfaces and the cooperation with the specialist departments, negotiation of pricing and terms and conditions
• evaluating bids and quotations together with the business departments
• conducting negotiations with vendors with support from respective department on technical parameters taking into consideration corporate purchasing policy
• the contract management administration in cooperation with legal, finance, and other departments incl. finalization of contract and terms and conditions with vendors.
The Purchasing Manager will assist, coordinate, negotiate and maintain cordial business relationship with all BMW supplier and external partners (domestic & global suppliers) in the market. The role is a central point of contact for local suppliers and will manage contacts to the vendors to discuss scope of work topics and negotiate pricing and terms/conditions.
Challenges in the role will be to ensure the continuous improvement of procurement processes in conjunction with the process partners and the central departments. The Purchasing Manager will also proactively identifies alternatives to reduce business risks or purchasing costs.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
To meet the demands of the Purchasing Manager role you have comprehensive managerial experience, preferable within a multinational company. It's expected that you have a University Degree, preferable in Business Administration or Purchasing. You have great procurement experience with good product knowledge and affinity. Experience in the automotive industry would be beneficial

You possess excellent ability to lead and support your staff, and you communicate well in a variety of situations. You are confident and reliable in your role, and flexible when necessary. You express yourself very well in English and Swedish. Knowledge of German is a positive qualification.
