The department Purchasing Chassis & Metal buys products for our global truck and bus production and are currently in an intensive period with many projects. We are looking for a committed team member interested in business and new technology who wants to be part of developing the future of Scania.
Your duties
In the role as Project Purchaser for chassis, exhaust and steering components you are responsible for optimization of technology, quality, delivery and cost for new components in projects. Focus will be on challenging and developing design together with R&D and suppliers and to ensure implementation of the parts in production.
You lead the discussion with the suppliers all the way from concept development until start of production and have a key role in request for quotations, technical discussions, cost analysis, order placement and industrialization. You take an active role both in predevelopment and industrialization projects to find the best technical and commercial solution for Scania.
The work gives a good opportunity to work with new technology, business and within a team. You work cross-functionally together with representatives from product development, quality and production.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is commercial, creative, flexible and result oriented with an interest in technology. You are good with relationships and enjoy having many contacts both internally and with our suppliers. We expect you to be an engineer or business graduate with a few years work experience within a commercial or technical role, preferably within purchasing.
As the role involves a large international network and some travel, you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken Swedish and English. Other language skills are an advantage.
