Across our three facilities in Keele (UK), Södertälje (Sweden) and Matfors (Sweden) we deliver quality commercial, clinical, and pre-clinical products. Cobra's services include; cell line development, analytical and process development, cGMP production, fill/finish and lyophilisation of recombinant proteins, antibodies, DNA, viruses and whole cell products. All our programs meet cGMP standards with full regulatory support.
A vacancy has arisen for a Temporary Project Manager within the Commercial Services Department based at the Matfors site, near Sundsvall. The individual will be required to project manage commercial fill finish and microbial bioproduction programmes for new and existing customers. This role is a temporary position for a period of up to 8 months (dependent on date of appointment) to cover parental leave.
Main duties will include:
• Act as the primary interface with the customer for all issues relating to project delivery.
• Manage project initiation and the delivery process to ensure program objectives are achieved within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Determine the priorities within the project portfolio in order to maximise revenue and profit.
• To support technical leadership for the project during the project initiation phase.
• Identify and evaluate risks and timelines for projects and manage any required changes and alterations with the client and the business.
• To work with the technical and sales team in order to write and present customer proposals.
• Use appropriate planning tools to manage project activity and to ensure visibility to the project team and to provide detailed project planning and resource information to the business.
• To support the Commercial group in all commercial related activities.
The ideal applicant will possess a Science or Technical degree or equivalent qualification, be commercially aware and have gained previous experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects working within a pharmaceutical or high technology manufacturing company.
Candidates should be familiar with pharmaceutical or high technology product development and formal regulatory processes and also have gained previous exposure to product development and manufacturing processes either through direct work experience or relevant project/account management activities.
The individual will be expected to interact at all levels of the organisation and should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational and excellent communication skills. Some international travelling and significant local travelling will be required as part of the role.
