Business Unit Heat Projects is responsible for structuring and realizing the most value creating solutions for BA Heat and Vattenfall. This means, that within the four portfolios Moorburg; Biomass & Infrastructure Projects; Near Term Gas Assets Projects and Gas Asset Development Projects, like new builds or refurbishment projects are developed and realized. Besides this, staffing of projects with the right people and the development and maintenance of competence pools make the work in the this BU dynamic and alive.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for the further development and construction of all facilities needed to convert the existing HVC not water boiler from a peat fired boiler into a wood pellet fired boiler. This is needed to reduce our CO2 emissions, to fulfil new regulatory requirements and to secure a reliable heat delivery in Uppsala. You will have the project responsibility to develop the project towards FID around the end of this year and to secure realisation in a safe way, within the agreed time schedule, budget costs and quality up to and including project transfer to BU Heat Sweden. The Project Manager will be end responsible for all elements related to the project. For this, the Project Manager will closely cooperate of relevant staff of Heat Sweden, Heat Asset Management and other internal departments.

• Burner modification
Education & Experience level
• Bachelor degree/ level engineering/ technical or equivalent by experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as project manager/director in power, heat or CHP plant construction during execution phase.
• Proven experience in leading project teams.
• Good people skills, able to build a bridge between the project team and operations
• Skilled negotiator
• Clear understanding of Major capital project procurement processes and contract / claim management
• Excellent English language skills. The possession of Swedish language skills has our strong preference.
• Extensive network in the industry
• Able to be at least 4 days/week on site in Uppsala
