The Surgical division, Business Unit BARRIER, is looking to recruit a Project Manager to Technical Support & Development, based at headquarters in Göteborg, Sweden.
The role of the Technical Support & Development department is to continuously update and improve the current product range in order to make sure that our customers are satisfied with it. The role is also to ensure the competitiveness of the product range within BARRIER and ProcedurePak units. We lead the continuous improvement process of the running assortment of the business unit.
Purpose of position
A Project Manager leads cross-functional projects from idea to implementation in order to deliver complete customer solutions according to the business strategy.
As a Project Manager you will:
• Define project direction, context and scope
• Develop and manage project plans.
• Work actively with project management and team building
• Document and communicate project progress to all stakeholders on a continuous basis.
• Organize and staff the cross-functional project team
You report to the Technical Support & Development Director – BARRIER. As a Project Manager you must be able to travel, occasionally frequently, mostly to our factories in Asia and Europe.
Background and personal qualities
The successful applicant has an academic background and a business oriented mindset with experience of building relationships both internally and externally. You need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. You should also have:
• Min. 3 years experience from cross functional projects within the technical support and development area, delivering new products, technology and/or services.
• Min. 2 years experience from managing smaller or mid size projects.
• Preferably 1-2 years experience from other areas of the business externally or internally, such as marketing, manufacturing or procurement.
You have strong communication skills, a positive attitude and you are good at motivating and leading others. Result oriented, structured, non prestigious, stable and a strong drive are other attributes which describe you.
