We are looking for a driven and outgoing person with a master's in engineering, natural science or similar to be responsible for all our university relations. We believe you are an excellent network builder with ability to drive and develop our university relations in line with the development and needs of our R&D organization. You have experience from R&D work and knowledge about the areas of Axis' R&D in order to spread our needs, opinions and knowledge to external actors such as students and institution representatives.
As the position is new there will be a need to form tasks and responsibilities in order to establish a functional relationship between you as project manager, the R&D management team and external partners. It's important that you can take on and function well with such responsibility.
Finally you must be familiar with the world of universities and institutions and fluent in Swedish and English.
OUR IPR UNIT - YOUR BASE
Within the Axis R&D department is the Center of Competence for Intellectual Property Rights, focusing on patents, licenses and trademarks. This unit will also handle contacts with universities, which are important for recruitment and the future success of our organization in long and short term. Axis is always striving to be one step ahead and a big responsibility is to reassure interesting prototyping areas for Axis through thesis projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your responsibility will be to represent Axis towards the University world in order to promote Axis as the great employer we are, influencing universities and students to invest in education of importance to Axis. You need to interact easily with students, teachers and engineers, and be able to manage multiple tasks in parallel. These will include:
• Developing and implementing an organization/structure for your function that interacts and works well with students, Universities and Axis management.
• Building relationships with universities and other institutes
• Holding presentations etc to promote Axis as an employer of choice to students
• Influencing universities to invest in education of importance to Axis
• Coordinating and participating in career/recruitment events
• Coordinating thesis proposals - internally and externally
You will report to the engineering manager of the IPR team.
Your work will require travelling to student fairs, recruitment events and other related events.
