The IT department is located in close connection to the Husqvarna production facilities.
Husqvarna Group, industry leader and active in global markets, is strengthening their position by moving further towards an even more customer and end user oriented company. GIS (Global Information Services), the IT department of Husqvarna AB, is responsible for the delivery of IT-services throughout the group. The organization is based at the major hub sites Huskvarna, Ulm (DE) and Charlotte (US) and delivers its services globally.
Your future challenge
The Project Manager role is part of the PMO organization that manages IT projects for the Husqvarna group. As Project Manager you manage and lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives as well as internal and external resources. You also have the opportunity to continuously improve the IT project management discipline.
Your team
Global Information Services offers a dynamic workplace with a clear agenda to develop a global organization in line with large scale changes both within IT and the business. The PMO team within GIS is an international and diverse team consisting currently of approx. 25 internal and external colleagues.
Your mission and responsibilities
• Manage medium- and large-scale, complex IT projects that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders as well as various delivery partners
• Ensure delivery in time, cost and quality as well as ensure with the business stakeholders that the project delivers or enables the expected benefits.
• Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
• Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value
• Validate financial forecasts and provide on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
• Partner with IT and business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria as well as regularly updating on the project status
• Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project life-cycles
• Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company as well as adapt the approach (traditional, hybrid, agile) to fit for purpose for the specific project context
• Assist, share learning, and mentor others within the PMO/GIS organization to promote the successful delivery of projects.
Who you are
We believe that you are a person with a passion for project management, like to set structure in an often dynamic environment, like to collaborate with multiple teams to strive for high-quality delivery with a solution-oriented mindset. You have 10+ years of project management experience in managing projects and/or programs and relevant educational academic background. It is desired that you have:
• Demonstrated and applied experience delivering complex IT projects in a large global enterprise / operating environment with distributed teams (incl. offshore delivery)
• Experience with different types of IT projects, e.g. standard software implementation, system integration, software development, cloud applications
• Experienced in senior stakeholder management to build up good relationships and with ability to adopt to organizations with different levels of knowledge in project management
• Experience of IT implementation in at least one or more domains like manufacturing, supply chain, finance, online/ecom, product lifecycle management, data management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Swedish is preferable but not mandatory
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to lead multi-culture, cross-functional teams
• Knowledge and expertise in the use of different project management methodologies and approaches (traditional, hybrid and agile) as well as tools
• Project Management certification like e.g. PMI-PMP, Prince 2, IPMA as well as certification(s) in Agile Methodologies preferred
