In this context Technology Personal Care develops and implements technology strategies to fulfil business needs in terms of cost, efficiency, innovation, flexibility, quality and safety.

We are now looking for a Project Management Director to be part of driving the change needed for future success, and to lead the Project Management Office on this exciting journey!
The Project Management Director reports to the Vice President Technology PC and is a member of the Technology PC Leadership Team. He/she has the global responsibility for project management excellence and for allocating and providing the business with highly qualified project managers in the strategically most important projects.
The location of the position is preferably Gothenburg, other locations can be considered.
Main Tasks
The Project Management Director has the leading role in the planning and execution of key projects in an agile way to secure successful project results. He/ she coaches and develops high performing Project Managers for strategically important cross functional project and programs. He/ she is responsible that projects are executed according to agreed and established best practice project management standards.
As responsible for the Project Management Office the role is as well an ambassador for professional project management practices across the organization. He/she stays abreast with latest project development practices and improve Essity's project management practices accordingly. As head of the Project Management Office he/she further delivers training and coaching to project managers, sponsors and project members, develops and implements project management tools such as project portfolio management system and proactively drives continuous improvement in our way to lead and manage projects.
Key Competencies
University degree
Significant experience from project- and program management, preferably from a fast-changing international business environment
Proven practice of international leadership
Experience in change management
Experience in manufacturing operations and R&D
Experience and curiosity in digital transformation
Fluency in English: written and verbal
Leadership skills:
Takes a broad stakeholder perspective and has the ability to understand stakeholder requirements, operational limitations and business opportunities
Ability to lead change and empower and motivate others during a change.
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence people across different disciplines, cultures and positions. Understanding of the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices and procesedures
Ability to assess risk and leverage successes.
Ability to create an engaging vision.
Able to turn strategy into actions and deliver results, can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately
Knowledgeable about how organizations work; knowing how to get things done both through formal channels ant the informal network.
Ability to build trust in an open environment by involving others and building effective empowered teams
A winning attitude with the passion to take strong ownership, set ambitious aspirations and deliver on or beyond agreed goal
