Position description:
Senior System Program Leader (SPL), 93800 Vehicle Control & Chassis
The department 93800 Vehicle Control & Chassis is responsible of the delivery of the complete technical offers to car projects for Wheel suspension, Steering, Wheel & Tyres and Brake Hardware to meet the 93800 mission of delivering systems that make us leading within Driving Dynamics, Active safety and Driver Experience
In total, the Vehicle Control & Chassis department has the responsibility for component/ECU/sensor, systems and SW within the following areas:
• Development of software for steering system, TPMS, steering lock and active chassis.
• Wheel suspension system front and rear.
• Active suspension including air-suspension and 4C
• Brake system Modulation i.e. hydraulic unit, ECU.
• Brake system Foundation i.e. discs, callipers, pads, hoses.
• Wheel and Tyre, tools and jack.
• Steering system electrical and hydraulic.
• Steering column including electrical lock, lower shaft and floor seal/plug.
We are looking for a System Program Leader (SPL).
The SPL has a key role to manage the program deliverables within the department and assure top quality project deliveries which significantly contributes to our products and the total business result, reporting directly to the department director. An SPL within Vehicle Control and Chassis is responsible for all system areas (PSS) within the department.
• Encourage and drive the team to development and achieve world class properties
• Secure delivery of agreed program content at the required time, at agreed cost and with the right quality.
• Report project status to Unit Project Leader and line organization as well as the Department management team according to the agreed processes and formats (e.g. Program Status Reports (PSR) etc.).
• Lead the weekly Technical Program Meeting (TPM-S) and prepare issues for escalation at the Program Control Meeting (PCM-S).
• Direct contact with necessary departments within R&D and actively take part and drive the cross functional work within the department and unit.
• The SPL has a leading role within the department and has an important contributor in the development of the department.
Required qualifications
• Practical and theoretical knowledge about product development
• Several years of experience from leading product development assignments within Chassis or similar system area.
• Ability to motivate a team to deliver on time, at agreed cost with the right quality both in product and in execution.
• Fluent in English
• Driver's license (B)
• Technical education on University level (Master of Science or similar).
