The Parts & Services division provides a broad range of services with the aim of maximizing customers' productivity. We focus on spare parts supply, professional service, support solutions and training. The divisional headquarters are located in Örebro, Sweden, and our distribution centers are strategically located around the world.
Join our team
The Parts Operations team in the Parts & Services division (PSD) is responsible for global planning and strategic inventory management of spare parts. We are a global team with team members located in 6 countries around the world. This team was built during last year as part of our strategic supply chain transformation program Excellerate! As a new team we thrive from our global cooperation relying on each other's skills and diverse backgrounds.
In this role you will get the opportunity to lead a project with high visibility and importance in the organization. You'll engage with a broad network of people from different functions and locations worldwide. This is a key initiative within the exciting supply chain transformation program within Epiroc. In this project you'll gain a great understanding of our structure, processes and systems, related to inventory management and bringing results in this role could be a great stepping stone to new opportunities after the project.
Your Mission
Your mission will be to steer the Parts & Services inventory reduction taskforce team within Excellerate!, towards the project and inventory targets and report results to the Excellerate! program leadership and PSD divisional management. You will work globally to identify inventory reduction/improvement opportunities and deliver a successful implementation together with the local entities. This will include regular follow-up with Distribution Centers and Customer Centers to ensure good quality action plans and timelines. You will coordinate with marketing around sales opportunities and collaborate with many functions to solve process and system issues that are causing excess and obsolete inventory. You will also support with analysis of the inventory development to highlight opportunities and risks. A very important part of the project is change management and communication. In the project you will work to secure a sustainable integration of inventory reduction processes into the line organization.
Your Profile
Education and experience
You have experience from working in supply chain and particularly from working in global supply chain transformation projects. You have previous experience of running projects in end-to-end supply chain management involving planning, sourcing, production, distribution, and inventory management. You have worked with inventory management in a global organization and achieved inventory/project targets in challenging setups. You have good understanding of inventory management and ERP systems and as you will work in a global environment solid English skills are required. Your educational background includes a Master's degree and/or a related degree specialized in supply chain, logistics or operations.
Personality
To succeed in this role you contribute with a high energy level to push for activities to reach the project goals. You have great communication skills both in speech and writing and use the network around you to achieve results. You are statistical, like to identify improvement opportunities and better ways of doing things. You are customer focused, proactive and results oriented. It is important that you have a structural way of working and can manage multiple project plans and activities. Since you will coordinate activities globally you have an interest in working internationally and have excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of different cultures.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden, but can be discussed based on final candidate. Occasional travel globally may occur.
