The mission of INCF is to be an independent international facilitator catalyzing and coordinating the global development of neuroinformatics, and advancing training in the field.

The goal of neuroinformatics is to integrate and analyze diverse data across scales, techniques, and species to understand the brain and positively impact the health and well being of society.

INCF promotes the implementation of neuroinformatics and advances data reuse and reproducibility in brain research through:

• the development and endorsement of global community standards and best practices

• leading the development and provision of training and educational resources in - promoting open science and the sharing of data and other resources to the international research community
• partnering with international stakeholders to promote and prioritize neuroinformatics at global, national and local levels
• engaging scientific, clinical, technical, industry, and funding partners in collaborative, community-driven projects

Key Functions
We are looking for a highly organized, results-oriented and experienced Project Coordinator to work on several projects within INCF. One of which is a large international clinical project on Traumatic Brain Injury where INCF is leading the project's data management, from data collection to analysis platform development.

The candidate will also act as project manager for KnowledgeSpace, a community encyclopedia linking brain research concepts to data, models, and literature, as well as the technical lead of TrainingSpace, a web service linking world-class neuroinformatics training resources, developed both by INCF and by partners, and integrate existing community resources.

The candidate will provide support to obtain scientific funding in the role of seeking philanthropic as well as general funding including the marketing strategy of INCF in the funding calls. The successful candidate needs to be a self-starter with excellent communication and diplomacy skills. Interpersonal skills are essential and we emphasize the person's ability to interact with staff and scientific community at all levels.

The position requires ability to work flexibly and at times unsociable hours. Candidate must be willing to travel approximately 10%. We offer a workplace within an international community in a dynamic environment at the cutting edge of science.

Area of responsibilities/duties
Create and manage project plans to track the progress of projects for part of a large international project. Function as liaison between different subproject leaders and external contractors Create, communicate and follow up on action items and key deliverables through their completion Ensure timely documentation and communication of decisions and updates on timelines and deliverables. Evaluate and solve project issues, delays and problems Schedule meetings with internal teams Report to the project's Management Committee comprising collaborators in several EU countries Budgeting and project reporting to the EU and INCF management Coordination of a distributed working group focused on data management and infrastructure development Technical lead and development of the INCF websites

Education/experience required
One or more of the following: PhD in Neuroscience, Bioinformatics, or other scientific field, with a minimum 3 years of project management experience; or MSc/MBA with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience Experience in management of large collaborative scientific projects, IT project management in large collaborative projects Experience in marketing and funding related activities

Skills Required
Demonstrated ability to manage complex collaborative projects and cross-functional teams Experience managing financial budgets Experience writing project status reports Experience working in Drupal and Wordpress Experience in developing marketing strategies Experience in drafting and submitting with proposals and other related funding activities Experience working with international groups of stakeholders Strong organizational and analytical skills Excellent and proven team-working ability Superior verbal and written communication skills in English Effectively capable to multi-task, establish priorities, and work in fast-paced environment

Skills Desirable
Knowledge of neuroinformatics, including tools and technologies Experience in data collection and processing techniques for clinical research data, specifically related to traumatic brain injury General knowledge of IT development and data management Knowledge of common data elements Experience in data curation activities Knowledge of neuroscience terms Experience with clinical research, and international clinical trials an asset Experience with managing legal contracts Experience handling data regulatory issues in Europe Experience dealing with IT security issues EU project reporting
