Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Controller to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting journey as ABB invests in a new state-of-the-art Robotics Campus in Västerås, Sweden. This large investment represents a prestigious project, offering the chance to contribute to a transformative initiative within the industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the project, acting as a business partner to the project team and managing project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Controller, you will develop and manage the project budget and forecast, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and recommending corrective actions as needed.
You will support business case evaluations to optimize budget allocation and ROI.
In this role, you are acting as a business partner to the project team, ensuring project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
You will identify and assess risks associated with the project, proposing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Additionally, you will provide financial analysis to support risk-based decision making. Facilitating communication between stakeholders and preparing regular financial and project performance reports for management and stakeholders will be part of your role.
You will also secure accurate records of project expenditures and ensure all financial activities comply with corporate and regulatory standards.
Qualifications for the role
Master's degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business controller, project controller, or in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of cost control principles and forecasting, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset to support managers in risk-based decision making.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data to a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and maintain accuracy.
Proficiency in Excel and other finance tools, methodologies and systems.
Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Swedish is considered a benefit.
