Description
The School of Health and Welfare is one of four schools within Jönköping University and one of the leading institutions in the country for academic studies in health, nursing and social work.

The Institute of Gerontology (IFG) perform research and education about old age and aging at School of Health and Welfare, Jönköping University.
Job description
The applicant is supposed to independently carry out research in IFG's collected data sets, write applications, guide or instruct junior colleges and students. Skills in psychological gerontology and statistical methods is important.
Qualifications
Ph.D. and competence as full professor in psychology. Recognized excellence in gerontology. The applicant should be used to work in large data sets, should possess statistical excellence and be used to work with longitudinal twin data and structural equation modeling including latent variables. The applicant should also have long educational experience and experience mentoring graduate student research.
Meritorious is if you have statistical excellence, experience with bio-aging and knowledge of quantitative genetics. Suitable personal qualities are experience of team-work and interdisciplinary environments. Fluent in spoken and written English, Swedish is meritorious.
Terms of employment
The employment is general fixed-term with part-time (50%). The employment begins January 1, 2018, and ends December 31, 2019.
