hela Sverige The Purification & Analysis department is responsible for the development and support of various products primarily within Protein Prep & Purification, Biacore and sample prep product areas. The department consists of approximately 90 persons divided into 7 sections with different competence areas. We are now seeking a temporary replacement for the Production team leader for the custom design products section, CDP, due to planned maternity leave for approximately 14 months.
Essential Responsibilities
CDP consists of 4 team members and a manager and is responsible for supplying customized laboratory products to our customers, starting with quotations, setting up new products, manufacturing and administration. The products are mainly new combinations of existing columns and chromatography media but also custom lab packs.
The primary responsibility for this role is to coordinate, manage and provide leadership for all elements of the custom designed products area for the Purification & Analysis department.
Essential responsibilities include:
Management of personnel, resources and activities within the section in order to secure deliveries and fulfill department goals
Critical link to provide technical expertise and support to the Sales & Marketing functions
Act as design owner for CDP manufactured products
Daily management of CDP activities such as issuing quotes, planning, manufacturing and delivering custom designed products to fulfill customer demands
Handling of custom products in internal systems, including article set-up, batch handling, shipment & distribution, inventory movement, cycle count, order recognition, product returns and internal material handling
Ownership of EngaGE bucket Custom Products LS
Management of line activities for the section, including recruitment, training, development, motivation and leadership of staff in order to deliver all agreed objectives and to achieve execution of agreed activities
To maximize overall productivity and quality for all CDP activities by allocating resources from the section in the most optimal way and simplifying ways of working
Active participation in department level activities
Qualifications/Requirements
MSc or equivalent in Chemistry/Biochemistry or similar experience
Experience from minimum some years of industrial development or manufacturing
Documented strong leadership skills
Experience in personnel management and team building
Structured and organized team player
Documented strong communication and cross functional collaboration skills
Strong external focus
Fluent in English and Swedish both verbally and in writing
Desired Characteristics
To be a suitable candidate for the job it is desired that you:
Have documented experience with successful cross functional cooperation and execution in an uncertain environment.
Have experience from Oracle work and deviation and change control handling in Trackwise.
Have interest in process effectiveness.
