Job Summary
For our Production Centre Lund Modena belonging to M&SCI in PSE we are hiring the Production Planning Leader (Temporary).
As a member of Planning and Logistics management team, the Production Planning Leader is leading a team responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production planning process for a diverse range of products, including make-to-stock, configure-to-order, and engineer-to-order items. This role requires close collaboration with the production team to ensure capacity aligns with demand and active participation in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will be exposed to the full range of our Production Centre product portfolio (Processing, Packaging and Components & Parts) with the opportunity to build a broad network of stakeholders.
You will be based in Lund, Sweden.
What you will do
Production Planning:
Develop and implement production plans for various product lines, ensuring timely and efficient manufacturing processes
Coordinate with production teams to align capacity with demand forecasts and customer requirements
Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as necessary to meet changing demands and priorities

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):
Actively participate in the S&OP process to align production plans with sales forecasts and business objectives
Collaborate with business sectors, supply chain management, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate demand planning and inventory management
Provide input on capacity planning, resource allocation, and production timelines during S&OP meetings

Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency and reduce lead times
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production planning activities
Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives and loss eradication

Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with business sectors, engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure seamless production processes
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address production-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction
Facilitate cross-functional training and knowledge sharing to promote a collaborative work environment

We believe you have
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment (+5 years experience)
Strong understanding of make-to-stock, configure-to-order, and engineer-to-order production processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven track record of informal leadership (people leader experience as a plus)
Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field
Proven experience as a people leader
Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
