Key Accountabilities
As Production Manager your key accountabilities is:
• Managing Production (Operations)
• Support operations effort to create create a culture of functional and operational excellence, accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values, value and standards.
• Plan, lead, organize & control the delivery of the operations contribution to the site objectives and overall performance in terms of HSE&S, service and quality, costs and human resources
• Establish processes to understand, look for and respond effectively to hazards in safety, health, security and environment, taking account of people, plant, community and procedures.
• Develop individual team members and build a team which collectively is capable of and fully involved in achieving the task. Also establish and enforce minimum personal performance standards within Production/Plant.
• As a member of the Operations management team, contribute to the formulation of site objectives from an operations perspective and ensure operations capabilities, constraints and HSE considerations are incorporated into overall Production planning.
Key Activities
As Production Manager your key activities is:
• Lead an operational excellence agenda by coaching & teaching functional excellence in all areas while achieving sustainable improvement in the safety, reliability, productivity, quality and eco-efficiency of the production or plant operations.
• Establish performance standards for production and support continuous improvement.
• Implement production management systems or processes.
• Develop and manage human resources.
• Design, install and safely maintain assets.
• Produce and effectively use materials and services.
• Network with other production managers at site and inside AkzoNobel to develop knowledge, experience and leverage best practice.
Experiences
As Production Manager your crucial experiences is:
• University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 + years of manufacturing or liquid batch manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years or relevant leadership experience from the industry within production, maintenance, logistics and/or QHSE&S.
• Effective leadership, interpersonal skills, performance management and people development skills.
• Fluent in verbal and written communication in the English and Swedish languages.
• Good business acumen with demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with clear prioritization and organizational skills
• Experienced user in Microsoft Office, SAP and other relevant ERP IT-systems.
