At Volvo Cars, we have an Agile Organization. Not only for SW but including all HW development too. We develop our products and functions continuously in Product Streams with a complete lifecycle responsibility.
Within our Agile Release Train (ART) for Autonomous Drive, we develop and integrate the complete vehicle AD solution including sensing, system and function.
We are currently looking for motivated and skilful individuals with strong academic records and documented leadership experience, to take on a role as Product Owner!
You will be the Product Owner for 2-3 agile teams within the Autonomus Drive ART, teams covering the fields AD function and AD environmental perception (including cloud connection and HD map).
About the teams and what you'll do
The AD function teams own and develop the description of Volvo's unsupervised driving functions. They also develop the functional safety case and verify and validate the functionality in virtual and real environments. For low speed unsupervised functions the teams also develop concept software internally and evaluate how to supply these functions in future vehicle projects.
The AD Environmental Perception teams source and develop HD map, the cloud connection and do the function to sensor requirement analysis of sensor fusion for AD.
As a product owner, you strive to maximize value added work by owning and deciding upon priorities in the team's backlog. Your focus is to maintain the technical integrity of the features/components together with the teams.
You will be a cornerstone of our agile organization, a true agile leader!
You and your skills
You have several years of documented experience within the field and are a proven leader with previous experience as a Product Owner, Technical Line Manager or similar roles. You also possess an academic degree (B.Sc. or higher) within a relevant area.
Good knowledge of the English language (both written and verbal) is essential in an international environment. It is also beneficial if you possess a valid driver's license B.

We also believe that you show courage and build confidence within the teams. You are able to independently plan, drive and follow up your and the teams work towards objectives.
