hela Sverige Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
At Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Pre-Development & Research, Scania R&D, we pursue top-quality research and development of future cutting-edge ATS concepts. We operate in agile and self-steered teams that work in close cooperation with the Volkswagen group, leading technology suppliers and academic institutions, with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies. Our culture is built based upon delivering added customer value through research and practical experiments, that iteratively lead to concepts for industrialization.
We are searching for a Product Owner in the area of Decision Making & Motion Planning to be part of our in-house autonomous vehicle Value Creation Team (VCT).
Your role
You will work as one of several Product Owners that have the responsibility to deliver a complete autonomous-vehicle software stack. Alongside the Product Manager (PM) and Release Train Engineer (RTE), you progressively increase the overall product capability across successive Product Increments.
The development team you work together with is comprised of scrum master and developers, focused on software development and industrial research / pre-development activities.
Examples of tasks:
• make the team understand the priorities of the VCT to deliver state-of-the-art decision making and motion planning software
• ensure the team makes the time for background research activities, that help the forward development of the product software and keep it on the bleeding edge of autonomous vehicle technology
• keep together the workflow for a multicultural team, comprised of members within different brands and locations of the Traton group
• make sure the team has a short-term backlog that reflects the needs and priorities of the team
• maintain a long-term vision and strategic roadmap for research and development for the product area over time
In your role, you will primarily focus on the responsibilities associated with being the Product Owner for your area. The role can also provide secondary opportunities to work in diverse ways depending on your background and preferences, which could include project management, research and development-related tasks, and hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles.
Your profile
You will enjoy this position if you are a flexible, well-organised leader who is self-motivated and able to drive your role and team through a fast-changing environment. Your technical orientation will help the development team understand the challenges and guide technology decisions.
We believe you have a relevant degree and a keen interest in software and systems development. Ideally with experience in C++ or working in a Linux-based development environment.
You are comfortable working in an international environment, a good communicator, and fluent in English in writing and speech.
It is a bonus if you have experience with autonomous vehicles, decision making processes or motion planning.
We offer
At Scania ATS Pre-Development & Research, we want you to succeed and develop, because together with your team you contribute to a sustainable future, securing a leading position for Scania in the autonomous vehicle industry.
Working at Scania you are offered benefits such as a mutual performance bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer our direct bus service between Stockholm City - Liljeholmen - Södertälje, the Scania Job Express.
