Do you have a passion for digital innovation, operational excellence, and creating real business value? Stena Line is looking for two experienced Product Owners to join our Ports & Terminals Digital team - one focused on Port Operations Systems and one on Port Insights & Orchestration. Together, these roles are essential to driving the digital transformation of our terminal operations across the network.
Product Owner - Port Operations Systems
In this role, you'll lead the development and optimization of our Terminal- and Gate Operating Systems (rePort and SmartGate). You'll work closely with our Port Managers and Check-In teams to ensure these systems support critical functions like vessel turnarounds, cargo handling, and check-in flows. Your mission is to enable operational efficiency, consistency, and scalability across all our terminals while supporting local teams in their daily challenges.
Product Owner - Port Insights & Orchestration
This role focuses on the data and orchestration layer of our terminal operations. You'll drive the development of tools and capabilities that support smarter planning, real-time decision-making, and increased automation. By leveraging analytics and integrating real-time data, you'll enable teams to optimize resource allocation, improve predictability, and reduce operational disruptions. Your work will directly contribute to improved performance, sustainability, and customer experience.
Some of your key responsibilities:
• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product area in close alignment with business and operational goals.
• Translate operational needs and business requirements into clear, prioritized epics, features, and backlog items.
• Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and port management to ensure that solutions deliver maximum value.
• Champion a standardized, scalable approach across terminals while staying close to the specific needs of local operations.
• Regularly visit ports across our network to gain insights, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with real-world challenges.
• Facilitate user forums and stakeholder updates to foster engagement and continuous improvement.
What you will experience
You'll join a collaborative, cross-functional team. Together, we're modernizing our ports and terminals operations to make them smarter, more efficient, and data-driven - with real impact across our network.
We believe a hybrid solution between the office and working remotely will create the best environment for us to be creative, productive and find a work-life balance creating magic today and tomorrow.
Who you are
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do. Regardless of your role, welcoming, caring and reliable guides you in your everyday work and the challenges you face.
We believe you are curious, communicative, and confident in navigating complexity. You thrive in a fast-moving environment, where collaboration and clarity are key. You're someone who listens actively, challenges constructively, and works hands-on to turn ideas into value. You enjoy taking initiative, building trust, and making decisions that balance business needs with user experience. Most of all, you care about the people your work impacts - and you're driven by making a meaningful difference.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in digital product management or a strong operational background.
- Comfortable leading or supporting Product Owner trainings and knowledge-sharing sessions when needed.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability and willingness to travel when required.
- Experience within freight check-in and/or terminal operations is a plus, especially Irish Sea/North Sea
