In this role you will be part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,500 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
You will be joining the Systems, IT & Workflow Lifecycle Team reporting directly into our Lifecycle Leader. You will be responsible for marketing activities for our Systems targeting the high volume laboratory segment. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
• Developing and executing portfolio strategies and marketing plans targeting high volume laboratories on a global level
• Understanding the market landscape, competitive environment and our customers' needs
• Planning, managing and actively driving a wide range of projects focused on Product Development with both internal and external partners; for the current and future product portfolio
• Leading the preparation of business cases and product requirements in close cooperation with commercial organizations ensuring customer and business needs are met with validated revenue expectations.
• Drive product development and product-care projects from requirement setting to launch planning and execution
• Developing global product marketing plans including, situation analysis, price, registration plan, segmentation, targeting, positioning, product life cycle, revenue forecast, and marketing mix to create competitive advantages
• Driving marketing and sales strategies for new product launches
• Managing development projects in close collaboration with external partners, representing the voice of the customer and IDD
• Identifying training and development needs and working closely with regional marketing leadership to maximize usage of resources.
• Leading the collection of post-market surveillance
• Supporting the global sales organizations, including with key customer relations
• Product labelling from a marketing perspective
• Collaborating cross-functionally with R&D and Commercial operations.
• Influencing key customers and important stakeholders.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PRODUCT MANAGER
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who has a strong commercial background and the ability to see the whole picture of marketing in this industry. It is really important that you have solid experience of diagnostics or laboratory products. As a person we hope that you are someone who is able to operate independently, take initiative, be resourceful, and exercise astute business judgment to drive performance. You should also be able to demonstrate the Thermo Fisher values - Integrity, Intensity, Involvement and Innovation.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• A Bachelor's degree and ideally an MBA or marketing focused Masters
• 5 years, or more, of marketing experience, where they have developed and implemented commercial strategies and carried out market research
• Experience from life-science, diagnostics or medical device industries. Worked with hardware, software and workflow solutions
• Successfully lead and implemented marketing projects
• Strong analytical and qualitative skills, as well as the ability to synthesize and integrate customer insights data, draw conclusions/implications, and translate into comprehensive strategies and business decision recommendations.
• Demonstrated experience in segmentation, targeting, and positioning to successfully drive growth.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating cross-functionally in a matrix environment as well as with external partners
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written presentation skills
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications is required
• International experience and good cultural awareness
• Able to travel internationally, up to 40%
