Job Description
We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the Customer Data team, within a product area called Identification & Loyalty. The Customer Data is a central team developing and maintaining some of the most critical systems in H&M's e-commerce platforms. The team is composed of highly competent developers both mainly in Sweden but also in India and Romania, and most of the work is done in English.
The solutions are responsible for storing and making available customer profile data (such as email, addresses, phone numbers etc) and more complex data used for loyalty and marketing purposes. Due to the sensitivity of this data, we follow strict data lifecycle models, legislations such as GDPR and ensure we have complete control of all our data.
You will be empowered to take the current products in the team and make them even greater in the future. Customer data is essential for the company and the possibilities to do more with it are many. You will be encouraged (and responsible) to envision the future roadmap of the products in your team, utilising modern methods such as AI as you see fit.
Our systems are business critical which means that the team work on an on-call schedule. You as the Product Manager will not be part of the call list but will be involved in planning.
As the Product Manager your role is to plan and prioritise the work and interact with multiple stakeholders within the organisation. Strong stakeholder skills are essential since the products are very central and used by a lot of other products. You will also work very closely with other teams in our area to ensure data compliance and more, as well as with teams in other areas and parts of the organisation - both within the H&M brand and with our portfolio brands.
You will be collaborating in a global context where your contribution has an impact on our brand perception and your days will include the following responsibilities:
Lead a cross functional team to develop, implement, and manage our Customer Data products.
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, taking into consideration the evolving landscape of customer expectations and business needs.
Research and stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to e-commerce B2C data management.
Work closely with the other teams in the area to ensure high quality deliverables on time and in compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure vision and products align within brand strategy.
Responsible for product specific KPI's and communicate regular tracking to stakeholders.
Own and maintain the backlog while prioritizing the day-to-day work of the product team based on the given targets and OKR's.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we also believe that you have a strong leadership presence, exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, a data-driven approach, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. You have great skills in influencing others, at all levels within the organization and you can effectively communicate your ideas and drive change in a dynamic environment. You can set a strong vision and translate it into a concrete plan to execute on. Since new technologies (i.e AI) disrupting this space, an agile mindset is a must.
In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has:
A degree in engineering/business/economics or equivalent working experience relevant for the position.
Experience from software coding and infrastructure basics are merits.
To succeed in this role, you have multiple years of experience working with tech and product management and preferably have worked within the area of e-commerce.
You know how to build end-to-end product strategy, including definition of scope, roadmap, and KPIs and understand product development from ideation to release.
Capable of gathering, analysing, and understanding customer and business needs and understand impact against product backlog and impact on team.
You have experience in operations.
You have an understanding and interest in cloud infrastructure as well as software development.
You get things done and are a strong planner and coach.
You have a trial-and-error mindset.
You will always fight for the best solution.
You have more of a generalist than a specialist mindset, visionary but practical.
You love interacting with people and other teams in the organisation to find the optimal way forward.
Knowledge of GDPR and similar laws is meritable.
Experience in working in an agile way.
Additional Information
This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible, based in Stockholm and you will report to Jens Samuelsson, Area Manager Identification & Loyalty in the Consumer & Sales Unit.
