hela Sverige We are looking for an experienced OBD engineer that wants to be part of developing the next generation OBD solutions for Volvo Group Combustion Engines. As a Product Attribute Specialist you define the requirements as input for the powertrain design teams to develop OBD solutions that fulfill legal OBD regulations. You will work close to system developers as well as the certification team. The position will be in the Heavy Duty Platform team, working together with a Product Attribute Specialist for Diagnostics but focusing on regulatory requirements while the Product Attribute Specialist for Diagnostics will focus on customer and aftermarket needs.
We have many interesting challenges in front of us with increasing use of models-based methods in control and diagnostics strategies, defining solutions for several new engine concepts for different markets to support reduced CO2 emissions and increasingly stringent exhaust emission regulations. What we are looking for?
To be able to take on this challenge successfully, we believe that you will possess the following skills and competencies:
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Applied physics, Mechanics or related field.
As a part of a global organization it is important to be fluent in English, spoken and written.
We believe that you have a customer oriented mindset delivering complete high quality solutions that creates customer value.
As we are solving small and big problems, often starting with limited information, we believe you are pragmatic, driven and always open to learn new things.
We have a strong emphasis on collaboration and sharing ? so we expect you are a team player that builds relationships.
At least 8 years of experience from working with diagnostic solutions or requirements.

You will be working in close collaboration with HW, SW and optimization engineers to break down diagnostics requirements to design system solutions. This gives you the opportunity to influence the development of our future products at the same time as contributing to your future development within Volvo Group.
You will be supporting and driving the entire development chain from early technology / concept development to implementation to final verification in vehicle.
