Job Description
Are you a senior leader who understand retail & how the role of the store channel is changing? Are you passionate about enabling a great store experience for both our customers and our store staff? We are now hiring Product Area Manager (PAM) for our product area Store Enablement.
Store Enablement Area is a new area within the Customer Domain. It plays a key role in enabling the future store experience. The area is set on a mission to provide a unified and streamlined in-store experience worldwide, improved tools and guardrails for product teams developing for store, and establishing a platform for store experimentation that will accelerate and amplify impacts of business tech. Store Enablement will take the lead in Business Tech to connect and advance the total foundation and secure the base for improving customer experience. The area will create a stable platform to build store specific applications running on modernized devices. All based on holistic store staff and customer vision and journey.
The area has started out with four existing teams focusing on core retail hardware such as interactive touchpoints in store, mobile devices, visitor counters and heat mapping, music in store and digital screens and signs. Added teams will focus on store experimentation, store release management and store development experience.
Your role and responsibilities:
As A Product Area Manager, you will work closely with product areas and teams across Business Tech and collaboration partners across the company (Healthy & Relevant, S&O, PBs) to align priorities, define test agenda and set development plans that align with our technology strategy. You will develop an application and hardware strategy for stores portfolio, providing product teams with a stable, efficient store dev environment, and contributing to overall Tech Strategy for stores. Your responsibility will be to develop and coordinate overall implementation of generic hardware & devices in line with agreed strategies, securing a high level of solution flexibility, utilization and great value for money is achieved. Your ambition is to reach as many stores as physically feasible to assure great result and enable other developments in Customer Experience area. You will ensure that teams working on strategy development, tests and rollouts have a stable and efficient dev environment with way of working assuring highest level of transparency and collaboration. You will also secure that relevant data and insights are in place to strengthen decision making process, define priorities, and secure resources. Key for your success is working effectively in matrix organization where co-creation and collaboration is in foundation for every deliverable.
Moreover -
• Take active part in developing holistic Customer Experience Strategy for Store Channel, and lead the digital vision and rollout roadmap together with product areas and teams across Business Tech
• Responsible for providing a platform and insights upon which Product Teams can develop products to deliver a great store experience, including service delivery and support.
• Responsible for implementing our new application, hardware & device strategy including rollout coordination
• Develop Communication Strategy for your Product Area. Assist with rollout and implementation of applications impacting our stores to ensure highest value capture
• Monitor vendors and market regularly for the latest in-store technology and best practices
• Responsible to provide input to QBR on critical technology priorities that will enable continued product development and scaling
• Secure relevant Business cases are in place and resources needed to execute on set plans secured with relevant stakeholders. Responsible for KPI steering and overall prioritization in Store Enablement
• Maintain dialogue with respective Change Leads and Tech Hubs to secure that impact of new tech features implementation is reflected in adjusted ways of working and relevant processes.
• Accountable along with BT commercial to ensure a healthy partner relationship with required tech vendors
• Ensure assigned teams understand the overall direction, vision, delivery process and responsibilities for any given initiative
• Drive consistency in practice, process, toolset and architecture within Store Enablement
• Lead, coach and develop members of Store Enablement, promoting agile best practices
Qualifications

Furthermore, we believe you:
• 8-12+ years of working experience in e.g., a startup, technology and/or consulting with a focus on digital product development of which minimum 5+ years in a leadership role
• Hands-on experience in store management or directly managing customers in-store
• Direct experience in managing hardware & device technologies across global landscape and country services
• 5+ years' experience in managing outsourced providers in delivering technology services to retail stores globally
• 5+ years' experience in creating user-facing store technology products is preferred
• 5+ years' experience in data-driven in-store analytics is preferred
• Strong product intuition and user empathy
