Quality & Engineering (QE) is a global function within Volvo Group Trucks Operation (GTO). We drive implementations of product and process changes, hardware and software, globally in GTO.

This is us, your new team:
Digitalization & IT is a support function with skilled experts in several manufacturing areas working in close cooperation with our partners and stakeholders. We collect needs and align them with GTO and QE strategic plans and portfolio roadmaps. We are the business interface to Group IT working in close cooperation to fulfill business requirements and delivery expectations in solution development and digitalization journey.

Role mission and context
The position is a combined roll as Business Sub-Portfolio Manager (BSPM) and Business Process Developer (BPD) for the Operational Support Domain within the Produce Process at Quality Engineering Digitalization & IT department.
Your role is to manage the operational/tactical evolution of the Solution Sub-Portfolio in support of Group Trucks and Business Areas Strategic Objectives and business demands from the Business and Process Owners. In the combined roles as BPD you will transfer solution concept to Group IT for change request management and development via defined handover concepts.

You will work closely together with main stakeholder in our factories, Quality & Engineering, Solution Leaders and Delivery Managers in Volvo Group Digital & IT. Within Manufacturing you will also work together with Production Logistics, GTO Controlling and GTO CIO.

You will report to the Manager for Produce & Maintain.

Key Responsibilities
As BSPM/BPD for the Operational Support Domain you will drive and coordinate all important activities under Quality Engineering Digitalization & IT responsibility related to:
Develop roadmaps for the Sub-Portfolio, secure the execution & business value
Request Planning in the Operational Support Domain
Translation of business demands into IT solutions within the Enterprise Architecture City Map
Manage efficiency and harmonization of Sub-Portfolios, focusing sharing of best practices, increased re-use, and reduced running cost on the Sub-Portfolio
Secure Sub-Portfolio rationalization in line with roadmaps (for example decommissioning)
Set business requirements on the Service License Agreement (SLA) towards IT Services
Evaluate and prioritize New Development (ND) change requests on Solutions within the budget frame
Manage the ND budget for Solutions within the Sub-Portfolio
Participate in Project Steering Committees for main projects impacting the Sub-Portfolio
Act as investigation leader on process and solution topics, especially concerning transversal topics
Participate in early phases of implementation projects and gap analysis
Act as Subject Matter Expert and drive Process into Information System, developing solution concepts, process specific and cross processes
Transfer solution concepts to Volvo Group Digital & IT for change request management and development via defined handover process
Support roll-out projects via process investigations when needed
Support roll-out project at go-live when needed

Experience from the Manufacturing Quality and Maintenance areas
Knowledge of the Operational Support applications and good understanding of related processes and business
Excellent communication and presentation skills to communicate and explain vision, strategy, and objectives
You are skilled in priority setting; driving for result and execute against set targets
Creative problem-solving and strong analytical skills
Able to work within a diverse, global workforce with many different stakeholders
Experience of project management
Experience of change management
Relevant university degree
Solid English skills
