ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Procurement team is looking for a Category Manager driving efficiency and effectiveness of our Marketing spend, to increase ROI and manage our agency roster including performance reviews. You will be prioritizing initiatives to maximize value & benefits, monitor category budgets to drive costs optimization, and you will be accountable for the execution of negotiation strategy, contractual terms, legal requirements, and regulatory compliance of creative and production services.
This role is a 1 year contract (parental leave cover) starting beginning of January.
In this role you will responsible for:
Responsible for developing the annual A&P (advertising & promotion) category plan to handle: improvements on Agency performance, opportunity potential, identified savings and mitigate/eliminate risks within assigned procurement category.
Lead change and deliver fit-for-purpose agency solutions for Design, Creative Development, Assets Production, Adaptation, Talent, Usage Rights management and PR.
Project leader for category projects stated in category plan
Implements the category initiative with results within the framework of the Category plan
Assessment and awareness of cost structure, trends and main cost drivers
Reports back to the owner of Category management process
Produces and follow up savings calculation
Responsible for both financial and commercial follow-up
Reports and informs to stakeholders about the status of the category
Analyses risks and escalates as needed

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced marketing procurement professional with +5 years of experience. You are a structured and analytical person, with an ability to work agile in a fast-moving environment. You are an highly collaborative person and have strong stakeholder management skills. You are inclusive and takes initiative to find ways to get better results, best practices, and solutions.
Your qualifications:
Master Degree in Business, Finance or equivalent experience
Experienced in building category strategy
"Speaks" Marketing, understands brand development & creative processes
Successful, multi-year track record delivering change for complex organizations
Advanced negotiation skills, problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills: comfortable and effective communicating (verbal and written) with all stakeholders
High energy and the enthusiasm to establish new category
Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset
Able to be both visionary and practical with a hands-on approach
