We are now looking for a new Procurement Business Project Manager, you will secure program timing, lead, coordinate and manage all procurement business requirements and securing processes & documentation. The role will also be responsible for the planning towards each project connected to procurement and all necessary alignment both within Polestar business areas but also towards our digital teams.
This position will give you the opportunity to be in the leading edge of electric vehicles (EV) development and drive sustainability in the supply chain.
Polestar is looking for someone who can help our business transformation on our digital journey, and work with our partners as the company introduces new electric cars and forges its own path as a scale-up company. This role will manage the timing and planning of introducing major digital procurement tools, getting the chance to adopt the latest technology that can help Polestar gain a competitive advantage in the market. At the same time, this person will have to ensure existing projects can move forward uninterrupted.
To be successful in this role you need to have a strong understanding of IDP procurement and the stakeholders we serve, but also how this process and digital interact throughout the PtP process. You will lead meetings reviewing detailed business requirements, planning activities to meet digital project gateways inline with the business needs.
This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg.
What you'll do
Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure that new digital tools are implemented meeting procurement business requirements supporting our stakeholders
• Understanding Business Stakeholders requirements from different areas towards procurement and procurements on them.
• Setting up working practices with internal & external depts /partners
• Create plans outlining all activities on a timeline and set a path for implementation
• Prepare materials for reporting to procurement management & project teams
• Maintaining the relationship with partners, Volvo, Geely & digital teams
• Setting up a testing scheme and approval process for moving forward with projects
• Review legal implications between Geely, Volvo and how this impacts PS....
• Setup and produce training plans in-line with digital team.
• Conduct education & training to IDP buyers
• Creating education manuals
• Supporting the system integration of data sharing between systems
• Support the procurement business leader and Process Managers
• Support data analysis to determine capabilities, requirement setting and processes for each function
• Managing &, facilitating process guidelines, instructions and policy documents to our PTP process in Polestar Quality Management System.
• Determine whether Polestar can use current PS processes or adapt to SAP digital processes and align them identifying gaps

To support this we need a person that has the following;
• Academic background or equivalent experience from MSS, procurement or digital
• Minimum 5 years of experience from the automotive industry
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a project manager or business analyst
• Experience working with Chinese colleagues is an advantage
• Very strong knowledge of digital project management, processes, IDP business areas & procurement
• Very good knowledge of existing internal (Volvo Cars) system landscape within purchasing preferred.
• Thorough understanding and good knowledge of SAP tools and products eg., Ariba and S4Hana
• Motivated by working in a very dynamic work environment meeting new challenges daily
