Procurement Assistant to European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control

Work Description
We are searching for a Procurement Assistant for our client, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Solna.

Task:
The person shall be requested to perform various tasks including:
• Support ECDC units in procurements matters
• Assist the procurement section with running calls for tender
• Ensure secretariat for opening commitees
• Provide support to the evaluation commitees (checking tenders, financial capacity, financial proposals etc.)
• File procurement related documents
• Monitor tenders received
• Be the central point for receiving contracts including registration and archiving
• Provide support for the Procurement Section (procurement activities, preparation of tenders, prepare documents, update the monitoring sheet)
• Notify tenderers and give information to tenderers
• Administrative and clerical support (archive all relevant documents, prepare letters to contractors, register contracts in the EU Commission system).

You will get an employment as a consultant with Manpower. The assignment is to start as soon as possible until last of March with possible extension up to the total length of 12 months. The role is for full-time.

Competences and experience
These specific competences and experience are required for the current assignment:
• Education at university level or any other post-secondary education and professional experience in the area of administration
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)
• Proven experience in an administrative environment, ideally including the area of procurement
• Experience and knowledge linked to the aforementioned tasks or any other relevant administrative experience
• Good exposure and understanding of administrative processes and systems, ideally in the area of procurement
• Excellent communication and correspondence skills at all levels with tact and discretion (English language)
• EU Procurement skills an advantage
• Good learning abilities and flexible in work scheduling
• Ability to organise work and prioritise accordingly
• Ability to communicate in an open and correct way
• Accuracy and thoroughness in the performance of assigned tasks
• A service and good team-working abilities.
