We are looking for an information privacy/data protection professional to our Group Privacy-team. The position reporting directly to our Group Privacy Officer.
The job, Privacy Specialist's main responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain Telia Company's harmonized interpretations of legal requirements (e.g. related to GDPR and ePrivacy), steering documents as well as group common processes, procedures and methods Provide hands on support and training to local Privacy Officers and other stakeholders Support Group Privacy Officer in development, maintenance and execution of privacy governance in Telia Company group as well as in monitoring compliance Identify and develop best practices to enable using group synergies and scale advantages as well as seek opportunities within privacy Perform reviews in Telia Company countries and group functions and create pragmatic action plans or recommendations based on the review results Be responsible for various assignments related to privacy Increase privacy awareness and competences as well as develop awareness materials Identify, evaluate, manage, report and monitor privacy risks Follow and analyse privacy trends, threats and current issues
Privacy Specialist is a key specialist resource in the Telia Company GDPR program delivering e.g. Group common interpretations, methods and templates, working together with local Privacy Officers and business units as well as reviewing plans, reference architecture, solutions and implementation.
You are
A business minded, creative and result oriented professional with analytical and well organized way of working A responsible person with the ability to work both independently and in a group Good at working hands-on in solving problems with pragmatic approach and balancing risks and business interests Capable of translating legal requirements and other complex issues into easy-to-understand business language Open to work in a multi-cultural organization across borders and enjoy collaboration
Your knowledge and skills
An university degree preferably in law or in other relevant field preferably accompanied with data protection and/or legal studies At least 2-3 years (full time) of experience working in the data protection / information privacy field Practical knowledge and working experience related to the EU Data Protection Regulation Ability to produce well-written, business minded and pragmatic documents and presentations Excellent communication skills and fluent in English, both written and spoken Experience on telecom sector and ePrivacy are beneficial
