We deliver a multitude of support to R&D as well as to other internal and external partners. Now we're looking for a Principal Methods Development Engineer and Trainer to further develop our competencies and working methods. Briefly about the job
In this position, you support the growth and development of test methods, and promote continuous development and training activities within your area of expertise - such as cutting technology, cutting materials, wear models and machining applications. Further, you develop and build a machining test structure and validation capability globally and support the delivery of cutting data to Seco digital platforms.
By consulting and participating in product development projects you capture and develop new ideas and apply them in your daily work. Sharing skills, knowledge, and best practice in your area, as well as developing new tools and processes within the scope is important parts of your mission. You're curious and follow development of new techniques within the area of validation of cutting tools performance. Furthermore, you cooperate with different universities and supervise students up to Master level.
The job is located in Fagersta and we offer flexible work conditions, some travel may occur.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with broad experience in metal cutting, with a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering and/or material science. Your theoretical and practical foundation combined with pedagogical skills comes in handy. Since we act in a global environment, you need good skills in Swedish as well as in English, verbally and in writing.

You enjoy sharing knowledge and use your communication skills to build networks and involve stakeholders. By being an actual doer, you work independently and in cross-functional collaborations to produce results.
