Job Description
We are now looking for a Senior Engineer in the Business Tech organisation to contribute to a product within Inventory Optimization product area. The product is handling our online deliveries in store (Click & Collect and Parcel lockers). Our aim is to ensure that customers have smooth, fast and sustainable in store deliveries and OMNI-experiences at the best price possible and drive traffic to store.
The role of a Software Engineer holds a broad spectrum from functional knowledge, configuration, to development and technical competences covering Java/Spring Backend, mobile native development as well as other parts of end2end product development lifecycle.
Since our team is a small and friendly group and our stakeholders are multiple and diverse - your role as a Principal Engineer will be to facilitate variety of business discussions, translate decisions into product backlog and support the team with technical enhancement.
As a Software Engineer at H&M Group you will embark on a journey that will lead to something new and exciting - we will test, fail and learn.
Furthermore, you will:
Work 50% hands-on development, 50% on technical leadership in our team
Be extensively involved in communication with a large group of stakeholders
Together with the PO own the products' technical roadmap
Translate product strategy and objectives into world-class maintainable and scalable solutions
Work with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
Collaborate and co-create closely with your product owner and other teams
Support others and actively drive knowledge sharing and collaboration
Qualifications
You are an important player in this transformation, and so we believe you are dynamic, collaborative, and curious and able to work in an environment that is not always formalized. You are willing to take the full role as Software Engineer meaning the whole chain from requirements to development, testing and DevOps.
You have previous experience from working in complex setups with many stakeholders and distributed teams. You understand the concept of integrated platforms and you know show to translate business objectives and visualize technical roadmaps.
We believe that to be successful you need to have:
Extensive Experience in native Mobile Development (either iOS or Android)
Experience in working with Microservices architecture and executing E2E projects on SCP preferably with RabbitMQ.
Experience in database technologies like PostgreSQL.
Comfortable to work in the full stack environment, running code reviews, test automation and integration testing, DevOps and CI/CD tools
Familiar with development in cloud environments (ideally with Azure, Azure Devops)
A demonstrated history of working according to agile practices
Product backend is written in Java, Spring MVC, Spring boot and oData, so it will be beneficial if you have an insight into this tech stack
