As a lead mechanical designer in the team, you will be the technical leader for electromechanical engineering design of large and complex air and gas insulated switchgear (AIS & GIS) to meet customer needs, legal requirements and standards.
What we require:
8+ years of experience related to primary/mechanical design.
Expertise in switchgear mechanical construction/primary design:

Layouts, sections, calculations, earthing and lightning protection design, building substrates, steel structure substrates, substrates for transformer suppliers, HV/MV switchgear, design-related parameters for cables and cabling.
Expertise as a reviewer of technical specifications, selection of components, connection materials (conductors, clamps, insulators, etc.) for mechanical equipment and accessories.
Strong skills in MS Office and management of design calculation tools, knowledge of MicroStation, Revit, BIM and AutoCAD are required.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead the project's mechanical engineering/primary design team across the portfolio.
Review the mechanical engineer's documents.
Responsible for mechanical design in RFQs.
Review substation base and detail design according to established applicable standards, processes, and customer specifications through assigned resources locally and in other business nodes.
Design and develop solutions with an optimized approach to mechanical parts of the project.
Provide technical calculations, technical purchasing specifications and schedule for mechanical parts/equipment.
Deliver and define steel and construction guideline packages to establish the foundation for civil structural design.
Coordinate and align with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure project results on time, with quality and within budget without compromising on quality.
Collaborate effectively with management and the project manager for a synchronized project execution approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master of Science in Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Discipline.
Experience in delivering complex projects for the transmission and distribution market.
