hela Sverige Complete Powertrain Calibration group develops the optimized functionality in the control systems for engines and powertrains for several products of the Volvo Group. Support fault tracing in trucks, system rigs and engine test cells, analysis of incoming logs from field test trucks, system rigs etc., support Powertrain Engineering related issues in production and update main SW and dataset in application trucks for ACM, EMS and TECU. The group is also responsible for the driving performance at GTT Powertrain.
The center for heavy duty development is at Powertrain Engineering in Gothenburg. We have co-operations with our colleagues in Hagerstown (USA), Curitiba (Brazil), Ageo (Japan) and Lyon (France).
The successful candidate will work in our Powertrain Support Team. The team consists of 3 people with a good atmosphere and a great go-ahead spirit.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for fault tracing in trucks, system rigs and engine test cells. The person should also be able to faults trace wiring harness, update SW and data set in different test objects and be able to make a first analysis of incoming logs from field test trucks, system rigs etc.
You will also support our production facilities if GTT Powertrain issues occurs.
Professional skills
Master of Science or adequate technical education with interest in combustion engines and heavy duty vehicles. Experience from engine fault tracing is beneficial together with good engine, transmission and after treatment system knowledge, both HW and SW. Most of the work is done in vehicles therefore driving license for heavy vehicles together with general truck knowledge and usage is also an advantage. Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written. As a person you are structured and analytical, organized with planning skills. You enjoy team work, contribute with team spirit and like taking responsibility.
