The section Powertrain NVH is a part of NVH Center that is organized
under the Vehicle Engineering unit at Volvo Car Corporation's R&D division. NVH
Center has the overall responsibility for noise, vibration and solidity
properties of our vehicles and powertrains. Powertrain NVH covers all
powertrain related NVH properties of our products. We work in all phases of the
product development process to ensure a premium level of NVH performance. We are
involved in the whole chain from the customer's perception of sound quality,
noise and vibration comfort of the vehicle down to system development. The
section is deeplyinvolved in our in-house diesel and petrol engine development
projects. We perform advanced measurements in vehicles and in powertrain
test cells. The result is used as input for sound quality work, component
targetsetting, system development, CAE correlation and root cause analysis.
Wework in close cooperation with project managers, design engineers,
CAEengineers and representatives for other attribute areas. We are involved
inmany international development projects of platforms, vehicles andpowertrains.
We are now looking for a powerpack NVH leader who will lead the NVH
development in a major powertrain development project. The project contains
development of new ground-braking technology which will be achallenging and
interesting task. Your responsibilities will be to: Plan,
coordinate and perform advanced measurements and analyses. Communicate
results and recommendations and support the development work. Down
cascade the vehicle NVH targets to system level enable optimal hardware and
software design to achieve premium NVH attributes. Develop new measurement
and analysis methods to face the upcoming technical challenges.
Qualifications: M.Sc. or equivalent education with solid
theoretical and practical knowledge in applied structural dynamics and
acoustics. Transfer path analysis ODS, modal analysis, order tracking
and filtering, acoustic holography, rotational analysis. Target down
cascading Experience from product development in the automotive industry.
Project leading skills. Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Experience from using measurement system and analysis softwares.
Preferable PULSE, HEAD SQ LAB & ARTEMIS and ROTEC RAS. Car driving
license. Personal profile: Strong analytical capabilities.
Outgoing and communicative. Team player with cooperative skills
Result oriented and structured.
