What's in it for you?
Plant Strategy Engineering is responsible for early phases in body, paint and assembly shop for both product and non-product projects, driving the vision layout towards ideal state in all the shops as well as for the complete plant and supporting running production within our area of responsibilities. Our main customer is Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics and Maintenance. Plant Strategy Engineering consists of two teams working close together with responsibility for the capacity and investment plan for the plant. Participating in early phases to support production with the best possible solutions for the new assemblies.
What you will do.
As a Strategy Engineer for Body shop, you will be the customers voice in early phases working together with Manufacturing Engineering, Shop Engineering, Logistic and Maintenance. You will be the one that support in Virtual Built Event in car programs and secure that the needs for the shop are taken care of alongside support Shop Engineering with competence and way of working. Taking part in pre-studies connected to Body shop for insourcing, volume request etc. and be shop representative in Integration Events for new car projects and participate in cross-functional forums with Advanced Engineering, OMD Area Engineers and Global Process Engineers connected to your area of responsibility.
Another part is to handle rough balancing and layout efficiency for line and pre-assy areas in all future projects both product and non-product related and be the driver for Body shop Vision layout and layout input for all online equipment and material facade.
Do you fit the profile?
We think that you have a University degree in engineering or equivalent experience alongside that you are highly skilled in process equipment and new techniques if you also have skills in Project management this is very positive. We presume though that you are fluent in English, both oral and written as well as you have a driver's license. If you also have experience from production, basic knowledge in Industrial Engineering or can speak/write in additional language(s) this is meritorious for the role.

On a personal level you like to work logical and find it thrilling to collect and interpret data, alongside this you love when things happen in a fast pace, you can see the big picture easily and is very accurate in everything you do. You also to take a lot of responsibility, always working hard to reach the targets that is set alongside this you like to be ahead of things, improve yourself so that you are prepared for the coming actions needed.
