Prysmian Group is looking for a Plant Quality Manager for the Nässjö production site.
Prysmian Group Sverige AB is headquartered in Nässjö with 180 employees and the products are branded under the renowned brands Draka, Prysmian and General Cable.
In this role, you will actively drive the preventive quality work in the manufacturing shopfloor, and continuously chase opportunities for improvements as well as needs for improvements to secure Right First Time in all production stages. You will need to analyze processes, decide actions together with a cross-functional team and implement improvements.
Quality KPI's are continuously giving you feedback, and you will be able to display your contribution and validate you are on the right track. Analytical tools are available for you to help you focus on the right areas and actions.
A skilled production team, lab facilities, R&D resources and Prysmian Group's expertise are there to support you in further developing quality in manufacturing. Are you the person who can coordinate and utilize these resources to bring the quality level of the plant to the next level?
In addition, you will need to handle customer claims related to own production site, supplier claims as well as contribute to quality tasks for traded goods. All this to ensure that the products meet the quality goals that Prysmian Group and their customers requires.
In the Nässjö plant 120 employees working with manufacturing of power cables for the dedicated market of Sweden, Norway, Baltics and Denmark. The role is cross-functional and will have a big impact on the organization.
As a Plant Quality Manager, you will report to Quality Manager in Scandinavia and also work together with the quality team in the region, who has the head of the matrix in the Netherlands. Since Prysmian Group is an international company and has a close relationship with other quality unites in Europe, some trips can be included in the position.
Your daily duties will include, and You will be responsible on the following:
• Directly manage customer visits/audits/FAT and handle complaints from clients.
• Plan, carry out and follow up internal Audits.
• Daily management of Internal Non-conformities, together with production
• Play an active role in improvement teams aimed at reducing internal non-conformities and relevant costs.
• Applying quality principles, analyzing quality records, preparing reports and recommending improvements.
• Identifying and addressing recurring problems either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures.
• Documenting of quality issues and performance measures for management review.
Who are we looking for?
A person with the drive and ability to bring quality in Nässjö plant to the next level. The plant has a well-established quality system, lab facilities for product analysis and a skilled high-performing team. Are you the person who can drive and coordinate the quality work in a manufacturing plant in systematic way, utilizing these resources to ensure quality in products and processes?
We are looking for a person with a bachelor degree (Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar), and more than 2 years experience in similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Good understanding of the role is crucial, and ability to put oneself in the customer's place when it comes to requirements and specifications.
As the company operates internationally and collaborates with other factories in Europe, we see that you have strong written and spoken communication skills in Swedish and English.
Knowledgeable in regular office tools like Excel, and SAP experience is an advantage.
