hela Sverige The research project DAGGERS is recruiting a new PhD-student. Recent advances in communications, such as global mobile telecommunication Internet services, have led to that embedded real-time systems are becoming increasingly interconnected. Thus, these systems are growing more and more complex, and the amount of information that needs to be structured, stored and aggregated is also rapidly increasing. Therefore, the need for proper real-time database management solutions is urgent. In DAGGERS, we seek to propose a formal approach where product-line methods are used to engineer flexible transaction models obtained via selection and composition of adequate features. Furthermore we will develop corresponding transaction engines adequate with respect to the temporal and logical consistency requirements. The research in DAGGERS will be performed in close collaboration with industrial partners, such as Mimer Information Technology, Ericsson and Alten.
