hela Sverige Future customer requirements in combination with new technologies, reinforced requirements on legal reporting and new ways of working put high demands on management of our product defining information. Volvo Group Product Data Management (PDM) logic is used to manage our product definition information throughout the entire product's lifecycle. It consists of a set of information elements (such as Product Classes, Variants, Parts etc.), associated processes/methods that are supported by a set of IT-systems.
We are a team of professionals globally working with the Volvo Group PDM strategy and enhancements triggered by the business demands. The work is carried out together with a comprehensive network of people at different Volvo Group sites and functions.
We are now looking for an experienced PDM specialist to join our team and bring Volvo Group PDM logic to the next level.
Main tasks:
As PDM specialist, your main tasks will be to:
lead cross-functional expert forums in the are area of Volvo Group PDM
be involved in defining new methods as well as specifying the IT support required in order to meet future business demands
actively spread and share knowledge by developing high-end presentations and coaching others
cooperate with specialists from other functions/sites across Product Development, Sales & Marketing, Manufacturing and Aftermarket, at different divisions within the Volvo Group
continuously follow state of art and trends in the PDM area and identify improvement potentials
Qualifications and competences
In order to succeed in this role you have:
10 years of operational experience of the PDM area (preferably within Volvo Group PDM, i.e. KOLA)
experience of trucks product variation
strong analytical skills
strong coordination and collaboration skills
good presentation skills
engineering degree (or corresponding work experience)

You like to lead cross-functional forums of experts where you utilize your leadership and specialist skills.

The position is located in Gothenburg and may include occasional traveling.
