The Group is Responsible for:
• Installation and visualization in 3D of all electrical components and electronics owned by the electrical engineering.
• Routing and fixation of wire harness and power cables in cab and chassis.
• Leading, as well as designing parts to support the installation of the electrical/electronic system and wire harness into the vehicles concerned.

There is now an opportunity for you to join us in the development of our new products. Volvo Group Trucks Technology has an increased need of skilled engineers within the Packaging and Mechanical Installation located in Gothenburg.
We are now seeking for a New graduated M.Sc. Mechanical/Mechatronic
Key Responsibilities
• Drive packaging studies for all electrical components in the responsible area, with target to fulfill functionality, serviceability and accessibility demands
• Develop installation components against suppliers, consulting companies, satellites, other sites and validate their requirements fulfillment.
• Investigate what type of mechanical solutions (material and assembly wise) that is required in the different projects, resulting in a technical description.
• Create the definition of the packaging requirements for electrical components and the mechanical interfaces against other commodities (CAB, Chassis, Design)
• Participate in global/ cross functional packaging meetings and physical verifications.
• Support Electrical component owners with packaging requirements, installation and interfaces against other commodities and participate to the validation of installation
• Assure the Quality of the installation components by using the quality tools (FMEA, DFA, etc.)
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Good knowledge in mechanical/mechatronic engineering
• Good knowledge in material technology, strength and application areas
• Good knowledge in CAD tools for Visualization and design
• Very good in written and spoken English
