Job Description:
You will be responsible
• to Innovate and develop solutions within the platform project portfolie
• for leading the engineering related work in the DNS process ie starting with innovative conceptual design, analysises, and optimisation the solution through out the complete development cycle delivering ready specified and usable solutions.
• to when needed delegate and quality assure engineering deliverables in the process
• for realize innovations in tangible virtual and physical prototypes
• to when needed, break down requirements to a lower level
• to initiate and perform development tests during development
• for dimensioning and structural simulations in computer environment
• for Product optimisation
• to verify the solution to the product requirements during the development phase
• to secure that the final solution is correctly specified for manufacturing and stable over process variances
• to identify improvement areas for the different solutions
• to capture and communicate learnings in Platform and Matrix dimension
• to give input to Platform Portfolie plans
We are looking for someone who got:
• Atleast 5 years of experience within the field of expertise.
• Experience from a broad amount of materials and highly demanding industries(Automotive, Aerospace, Process industri)
• Ability to turn product concepts and ideas into mechanical engineering constructions in the form of technical drawings, CAD and 3d Models.
• Ability to optimize use of existing drawing and modelling tools
• Analytical and creative skills with ability to transfer knowledge, ideas and data into construction models
• Ability to handle large quantaties of information and work with several teams and product areas in parallell
• Ability to lead and verification and development testing
• Strong ability to work in teams and make things happen through involving and enganging people
Required skills:
• University degree within Engineering or corresponding knowledge.
• Product Area knowledge (Product requirements, Market, Customer, Technical solutions and innovation)
• Construction knowledge (Drawing technique, 3D models, Material, Production)
• Deep knowledge and experience in Drawing technique, 3D models
• IT tools (Solid Works, Pia, PLUS)
• Dimensioning and calculation knowledge
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Preferred skills:
• Injection moulding
• light-gauge sheet & blank cutting
• Experience from working with nonlinear finite element analysis and verification testing
• Strong communicator
• Open & transparent
