Local Unit & Position Description
Medical Devices - Product Assurance
The production of medical devices is a strictly regulated business. DNV is a Notified Body, providing services that secure our customers' market access around the world. We assist the industry in ensuring medical devices are safe, effective and of the highest standard and quality.

We are now seeking a strong leadership & operations profile to lead our Medical Devices Hub located in Denmark. As Operations Manager you will be responsible for a team of highly skilled individuals in Sales, Technical Sales, Audit & Assessment Delivery, Qualification Management, Scheduling & Planning as well as Quality Management.

The Medical Devices area is an important part of our strategy moving forward and we are looking for a dynamic and agile leader. You will report to the Area Manager Nordics, you will be accountable for the commercial performance of the hub and, together with our European Product Assurance Network, contribute to further strategic development and execution on a European level.

Furthermore, you will actively promote, support and facilitate the fulfilment of DNV Purpose, Vision and Values and foster a culture of cooperation. You will develop and maintain DNV culture and reach business goals through professional and consistent operations deliveries.


The major areas of accountability / responsibility are:
• Accountable in meeting business goals and performance targets
• Responsible for improving operational efficiency and effective service delivery, while ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction
• Monitor and follow up forecast and business results
• Cooperate with Finance on forecast preparation and analysis related to production activities/services
• Analyse and define the coverage of qualified resources needs (volume, schemes, qualification) in relation to budget targets
• Ensure focus on continuous service quality improvement through management and development of people
• Guarantee a homogenous approach in managing resources, performing activities, communication and cooperation among relevant hubs and regions.
• Contribute to resource sharing across hubs and regions to ensure capacity optimization
• Line management of staff, including managers in Service Delivery/ Qualification Management, Quality Management and Scheduling/ Planning
• Focus on customer centricity, performance management and competence development
Position Qualifications
• Higher education Bachelor / Masters
• Minimum of 10 years operations experience and 3 years business experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of improved performance
• Line management experience a strong advantage
• Knowledge and experience within Product certification, MSC, Training and other services of, or related to, DNV, is an advantage

Personal qualities:
• Self-driven and service minded with the customer in focus
• Solution oriented mind-set combined with a pragmatic approach
• Takes keen interest in driving change wherever required
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commercially oriented
• Strong software skills (Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English, Danish not required
• Committed to DNV's leadership expectations
