Main Duties & Responsibilities in the Operations department are:

Terminal and Port Operations
• Create feeder schedule and maintain all schedules in systems
• Act as Focal Point between departments, Terminal Operator, Ship Planning, Authorities and Partner Lines
• Arrange smooth Vessel, Port and Cargo Operations in accordance with local rules and regulations, safety and security procedure
• Coordinate the workflow while berthing
• Dispatch booking-forecasts to terminals
• Arrange feeder transportation where applicable
• Complete dangerous-goods-lists with final container numbers and stowage positions and forward same to port authorities and vessel
• Compile and control dangerous goods documentation
• Work out cost estimates for special shipments (for example out of gauge, stowage, lashing and securing)
• Arrange checking of correct lashing and stowage
• Maintain cost tariffs and handle purchase orders in SAP

Transport Dispatch
• Plan transports on a daily basis
• Optimize transports
• Monitor future transport requests
• Create work orders for transports and distribute to subcontractors
• Create feeder voyages and arrange feeder transportation where applicable
• Distribute transport limitations to Customer Service and Sales
• Promptly inform Customer Service about delays to transports
• Report quality of subcontractor performance and issue non compliance
• Handle discrepancies between transport invoices and work orders
• Maintain Standard Transportation Costs

Equipment Dispatch
• Planning and Steering of Equipment
• Insert Equipment movements and check / correct movements received by EDI
• Check / compare depot inventories and equipment requirements
• Functional contacts with relevant internal / external parties
• Assign / confirm export positioning depot and send release message to terminal/depot
• Assign / confirm import repositioning depot and send acceptance to terminal/depot
• Coordinate repairs of equipment
• Monitor turn-around-times, trace overdue equipment
• Arrange on-hire and survey
• Arrange/book off-hires

You also need to be flexible in your approach, and you need to be solution oriented. To succeed you must be able to make decisions quickly, and still keep your eye on the details. You also need to have a cost consciousness in regards to which decisions you make.

We are looking for someone with a degree/certificate within the areas of Shipping, Logistics, Business or similar. This is not a requirement if you have documented experience from liner shipping or the forwarding segment. For the role of Terminal and Ports coordinator experience from a similar role is an advantage.

You need to have good IT skills especially within the Microsoft Office package. You must be fluent in Swedish both orally and in written text. You must also have a good command of spoken and written English. Some of these roles require you to be on call during hours outside of regular office hours.
