Team: Hotels department You will report directly to the Area Manager Nordics and work in the office of Booking.com, located in Stockholm. The Role As Operational manager you are responsible for all operational activities in the Hotels department. You coordinate and check production; you manage the Coordinators and Content Editors as well as support all Account Managers and Area Manager.
Key responsibilities: Team Leadership . Manage the workload distribution amongst the team, focusing on individuals strengths and encourage high levels of performance in line with business deadlines and quality standards . Provide training to all (new) members of the Hotels department team and provide regular and ongoing support and coaching as required . Provide ongoing management support in terms of motivation, workload distribution, training, best practice and advisory guidance on a daily/weekly basis . Create and stimulate commercial awareness amongst the team . Monitor performance levels and conduct mid and end of year performance review setting SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-specific) performance objectives for each individual . Relate with the Training and Quality Manager, Content Manager, Project Manager on proposed actions for the improvement of process, procedures and content. . Project management; takes care of special projects and implementing/training new procedures with coordinator team Coordinator and Content Editor Management . Oversee coordinators and content editor schedules effectively ensuring requested projects are completed in accordance with strict with business priorities and quality standards . Coordinate and communicate working priorities in an efficient manner within the office . Liaison with Regional manager/Area Manager on hotels issues and special projects . Optimize current SOPs, introduce, communicate and implement new SOPs according to needs . Co-ordinate and implement Hotels process/system improvements . Work closely with Regional/Area Manager to feedback on issues and systems improvements, setting priorities for all coordinators, content editors and further development of Hotels team to optimize efficiency and results
Requirements: . MBO/HBO/University level; . 1 - 2 years proven management experiences (preferably in an international working atmosphere); . Good communicative and analytical skills; . Commercial awareness and result driven . Well-organised, hands-on mentality . Proactive, enthusiastic and motivating leader . Experience with internet and the hotel industry
